About

Broadly, I am interested in the philosophical problems that emerge from the intersection of philosophy of science, history of medicine, and bioethics.

Recently I have been working on verification criteria of legal competency for new fMRI studies of patients in persistent vegetative states.

I also have special interest in combat operational stress. Specifically, I am interested in current empirical studies that map the neural correlates of psychiatric changes caused by war. Such studies, I believe, could have a beneficial influence on veterans who face reintegration obstacles as they return from deployment.
