About

I am currently working on a PhD in Media Studies at the University of Western Ontario in London, Canada. My research interests include popular music, stardom, medium theory, utopian studies, video gaming, authenticty, and performance. My scholarship has been published in Loading… and Celebrity Studies and is forthcoming in Popular Music and Society.

I am also active as a performance artist, writer, and musician, practices related to my research. I have presented work at such festivals and galleries as the 7a*11d International Festival of Performance Art, FADO Performance Art Centre, Eastern Edge Gallery, and Sappyfest. My bands (Peter Mansbridge and the CBCs, The Boy from ET, and The CFL Sessions) have toured extensively in Canada, and my recordings have regularly played on CBC Radio and charted on campus/community stations. My first short story was recently accepted by The New Quarterly.
